REVIEW COURSE INSTRUCTORS

Ronald W. Allen, MSFS, CAP™, AEP, CFP®

Ronald W. Allen is the Director of Florida Community College’s Institute for Financial Studies and teaches Fundamentals of Financial Planning and Insurance Planning and Risk Management. Ron is a CFP® practitioner in the area of small business operations. In addition to general planning, he specializes in financial, estate, retirement, investment and insurance planning. Ron has more than 20 years experience as a corporate executive specializing in sales, marketing, and acquisition and business startup. He is past president of the Jacksonville Society of the Institute of Certified Financial Planners and former chairman of The Financial Planning Association of Jacksonville.

Matthew B. Bishop, JD, CPA/PFS, CLU, ChFC, CFP®

Dr. Matthew B. Bishop is the Program Manager for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER Certification Education Program at Florida Community College at Jacksonville and teaches the Income Tax Planning, Retirement Planning and Employee Benefits, and Estate Planning courses. He is also a CPA practicing in the areas of qualified plans, estate and gift tax, and personal financial planning. He is a past president of the Jacksonville Society of the Institute of Certified Financial Planners, and a member of the Society for Financial Services Professionals, the American Institute of CPA’s, and the Florida Institute of CPA’s. Previously, he has been employed in “Big Six” public accounting and an agent/registered representative for a major life insurance company.

Michael S. Wallace, CFP®

Michael S. Wallace is an adjunct instructor who teaches Investment Planning for Florida Community College’s Institute for Financial Studies. Mike is a CFP® certificant working in Jacksonville. His work encompasses all areas of financial planning but he specializes in investment and retirement planning. Mike has had over 20 years experience in corporate finance, both as a corporate lender and as an investment banker. He is a member of the Jacksonville Chapter of the Financial Planning Association.
