The following courses are taught in accordance with OSHA standards and are offered to meet the
certification that your company may need to stay in compliance with OSHA regulations.
Bloodborne Pathogens (CWO-0028)
This 2-hour course is taught in accordance with OSHA standards and is designed to give a basic understanding of bloodborne pathogens, common modes of their transmission, methods of prevention, and other pertinent information. The course also trains/retrains company employees who work in occupations where they are at risk of exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials in the essential sills and knowledge for non-professional emergency procedures. Course Prerequisite: None.
First Aid/CPR/AED(CWO-0011)
This 6-hour course is taught to reflect the recently revised techniques of the American Red Cross course on First Aid, CPR and AED techniques for adults, children, or infants. Upon completion of the course students will receive an American Red Cross certification card (card expires one year from date of issue). Class size limited to maximum of ten individuals. Course Prerequisite: None.
HAZWOPER Annual Refresher (CWO-0034)
This 8-hour course is taught in accordance with OSHA standards and it meets the requirements of annual refresher training for workers at hazardous waste sites. This course is designed for general site workers who remove hazardous waste or who are exposed or potentially exposed to hazardous substances or health hazards. Topics include HAZWOPER regulations, safety and health plans, hazardous chemicals, safety hazards, air monitoring, medical surveillance, site control, decontamination, personnel protective equipment, and respiratory equipment. Course Prerequisite: Completion of either the 24-hour or 40-hour HAZWOPER course.
HAZWOPER Communication (CWO-0017)
This 2-hour course is taught in accordance with OSHA standards and provides employees with specific information (training, container labeling, and material safety data sheets) to protect their health and well being from hazardous chemicals. The scope of the training applies to all personnel who may be exposed to hazardous chemicals. Course Prerequisite: None.
HAZWOPER Recognition (CWO-0016)
This 2-hour course is taught in accordance with OSHA standards and prepares individuals to perform workplace safety inspections by identifying hazardous acts and conditions and determining how to prevent accidents. Course Prerequisite: None.
