Associate's Degree for NJROTC Instructors
The Military Education Institute is aware of the 2007 NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act) which mandates that each NJROTC instructor have an Associate's degree within 5 years, and has developed a path to ensure those NJROTC instructors can complete their degree within the required timeframe.
The Institute offers the Associate of Science in Industrial Management Technology, a degree that will maximize the number of military credits earned while on active duty. The degree can be completed 100% online in as little as 18 months! It can be obtained in one of three ways:
- Students will be able to check the class schedules and opt to enroll in required courses.
- Students can complete courses in an 8-week format online.
- All NJROTC instructors will be placed in a flexible cohort (from which they can drop in and out), at accelerated 8-week sessions, where the course of study has been selected based on individual student military experience. The cohort can start at any time, given there are at least 15 students enrolled in the program.
Advisors at the Institute provide personalized advisement to each student. Our advisors will develop individual degree roadmaps that will guide students through degree completion. Please contact an advisor for more information and application procedures.
